From a modern perspective: OH BOY has this game not aged well. We still love it regardless. This remaster brings up many QOL improvements to the gameplay, like saving and quick-saving anywhere you want instead of just using the save rooms . get pretty sparse in later levels), also a bigger FOV by default that you can expand even further if you want and many modern graphical amenities like real-time shadows and reflections on water surfaces and some floors. What I said at the beginning still holds true, this is still a fairly satisfying game to play and the soundtrack just got even better with the inclusion of the PC version CD music. (look for the Steam guides and use the music fix, it adds more loops to every song). Unfortunately, this is still a game where it’s pretty easy to get lost –looking at you, Lair of The Blind Ones– and you still need to do plenty of backtracking near the end to pad the game’s lenght unnecessarily.
