Your progress doesn’t matter from one battle to the next, and with only a handful of maps the game was a breeze to beat. Overall, I just had more fun with Warefare 1917 due to the depth it offered. In Warefare 1917 you can unlock artillery units that give you options during battles, in this game you just wait until enough time passes that you can arbitrarily unlock a new unit and then finally make progress. It’s a cool mechanic, except that since you don’t have utility options until quite a bit of time passes, it makes the first ten minutes boring as hell. You have an overwhelming number of troops vs three guys in a trench with a nest? Doesn’t matter, you’re gonna lose. Put a handful of guys in a trench, upgrade the nest, go make a snack, then comeback and win! Fun right?
